Meaning of this name is unknown.
Lyrr Descy says: The name DESCY probably derived from the 12th century village of Scy (or it was once a village before Belgium was reorganized politically and administratively in 1977), located in the Commune of Hamois, which is in the province of Namur in Wallonia, which is the eastern, French speaking part of Belgium. The name Scy is related to the word scythe (the name no doubt indicates that agriculture was the primary activity in the region). The "De" merely refers to people being FROM the village of Scy, and eventually the two parts of the name became fused. Migrations to the New World notwithstanding, it's no accident that a large number of Descys still reside in Belgium and northern France. I would say that the suggested rhymes are incorrect. In French speaking countries the name does not rhyme with MESSY (the C is not pronounced), but often retains the De as a distinct syllable (the E being a neutral schwa vowel).
